Florence Lacasse

Mother, grandmother and great grandmother, beloved friend and neighbour, just shy of her 94th birthday; Florence passed away peacefully at AMGH in Goderich in the early morning hours of July 7, 2024.

She will be sorely missed by her children Rita and Maurice Paquett, Henry and Cindy DeGroof, Susan and John Blanchard and, Steve and Journey DeGroof. Affectionately called Nana, she will be missed by her Grandchildren, Angela, Darcy and Lynn; Marci; Lori (Jared); Allan (Mary); Stephanie (Nathan); Bradley (Shelby); Mary, Grove (and their mother Eve). And 13 great grandchildren Connor, Allison and Tyler; Joelle, Michaela and Caleb; Isaac and Dylan; August, Jackson and Jasen; Eloise and Sophie.

Florence is predeceased by her beloved Gaston (2017) and the father of her children, August DeGroof.

Left also to mourn are her large and loving family in Belgium; her dear friends and, church family.

At Mom’s request there be no formal services.

In lieu of flowers Florence would have preferred that expressions of sympathy be made as donations to cancer research and to Calvary Baptist Church in Goderich.
