Doreen Marion Thaler / Dietrich (Schatz)

Doreen passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimers/Dementia at University Hospital (London Health Sciences Center), age of 87 years.

Doreen is survived by her son, David Thaler (Beverly Peacock-Thaler) of London, Grandmother of stepchildren Michael Peacock, Janice Hall (Adam), Amanda Peacock; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Peacock and Austin and Blake Hall, all of London, Ontario.

Loving aunt to Patti Merriott ( Robin) of Sechelt BC and Fred Wagner (Linda) of Bowen Island BC, and Bill Thaler ( Linda) of Huntsville.
Doreen is also survived by second cousins, Ruth Cox of Peacock Point and Frank (Glennis) Schatz of Waterloo.

Predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Ethel Schatz (Barrie) of Kitchener; daughter, Brenda Thaler of Kitchener (1959-1981); brother, Bud Wagner of West Vancouver BC.

Doreen was also predeceased by husbands; Bruce J. Thaler- (M)1957-1980 (D)2008); Magnus Dietrich; (M)1982 (D) 2000; Vernon Stroud: (M)2008- (D)2017.

Doreen's family will receive friends and relatives at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 54 Queen Street North Kitchener, Ontario, (519) 578-4430 on Saturday, November 8, 2024, with visitation at 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. when a memorial service for Doreen will begin, Rev. Wendy Paterson officiating, in the Covenant Chapel. Following the service, there will be a Celebration of Life gathering and luncheon in the church's Elizabeth Room.

In place of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
