Ben Barrieau
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Ben Barrieau of Wallacetown, on Sunday September 15th 2024 at the age of 81 years.
He peacefully passed away in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of Deb (Else) Barrieau and treasured father to Jason (Tina) Barrieau and Carie (AL) Downie. Adored grandpa “Gramps” of 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Ben leaves behind cherished sister Cathi Bragrock (late Fred). Fondly remembered dearly by his nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Ben was born at Dokis First Nation on September 9th 1943. He lived out west when he was younger working on a ranch with horses. He then moved to Keswick, London, St. Thomas before settling down in Wallacetown. He had a traveling life being a transport truck driver for 40 years, before his retirement.
Ben and Deb celebrated their 18th anniversary on Ben's 81st birthday.
He took pride in his membership with the Elgin Flyers St. Thomas and Forest City Flyers London, having put together several remote control planes with his son Jason.
