John Robert Rath (Bob)

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of John Robert Rath (Bob), 77, in his home on November 23/2024, after a short illness, with family at his side. Bob, with humour and the stubbornness for which he is affectionately remembered, retained his true fighting spirit until the end.

Never one to sit still, Bob was always up for anything. He loved going places, and spending time with family and friends. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He was a free spirit, quick to laugh and see the humour in good times and bad. We hope that he is at peace at the end of his journey. He will be deeply missed.

Bob worked at GM for many years, after which he tried to remain active and social. He was born in London, ON. Predeceased by parents John Robert (Jack) Rath and Dorothy Helen Rath (Boose), brother Thomas Rath, and sister Patricia Walton (Rath). Survived by children Kenneth Rath, Kimberly McCutcheon (Rath), and Kathleen Rath, niece Tara Cull (Walton), and 4 grandchildren.

 Donations to The Cancer Society are encouraged in his honour. Cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.
