James (Jimmy) G. Varga
London, Ontario, formerly of Rodney, passed on January 22, 2025 in Victoria Hospital, London, after a long battle with lung cancer.
Born in Leamington Ontario December 28, 1941, Jimmy was a kind, loving person to all. He was a very hard worker and prided himself on making residential and business lawns and gardens, look beautiful.
He worked for many years on father's tobacco farm and later in London for over 30 years, as caretaker at 169 Wharncliffe Rd. at Cove Rd. strip plaza, He beautified the landscape there for many many years and the great people at Hecny properties treated him like family and often said Jimmy treated their property like it was his own. As the proprietor of A2 Handy Man Services, he did gardening and maintenance work for many London residents. Jimmy, as been said, was "as honest and trust worthy as the day is long."
Jimmy was the 14th of a family of 15 kids. Survived by sister Helen, St. Thomas and brothers Ernie (Burlington) and Danny (St. Thomas) and many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy loved all animals and on his wishes, his ashes will be interred along with his beloved cat "Fluffy" with mother's (Emerenc) and father's (Dezzo) grave site in Leamington Ontario.
The Varga family wishes to extend their thanks and appreciation to all the medical staff who attended and cared for Jimmy during his many visits to the cancer centre and his short, 47 day confinement in hospital.
Jimmy lives on in our hearts and will be remembered always.
